As the Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Bafra Vocational School of Tourism (MYO), we held our 2023-2024 academic year graduation ceremony in the Faculty of Tourism Conference Hall.
The graduation ceremony was attended by our school director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Gül, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut, Dean of the Yaşar Doğu Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Murat Eliöz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasin Keleş (one of our former directors), Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zuhal Çilingir Ük, representatives of public institutions, academic staff, and students' parents.
Following Havvanur Keskin, the top-ranking student of the term, who gave a thank-you speech on behalf of the graduating students, Bafra Vocational School of Tourism Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Gül took the floor and provided information to the participants about our school's educational philosophy and vision. Stating that the school period is a preparation process for the rest of their lives, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Gül advised the graduating students to not only utilize their professional skills but also to take responsibility and learn to take the initiative.
The graduation ceremony continued with the presentation of gifts and certificates of achievement: Prof. Dr. Murat Eliöz presented a gift and certificate of achievement to Emircan Seyis, the top-ranking student of the previous term; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Gül presented to Havvanur Keskin, the top-ranking student of the current term; Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut presented to Osman Menek, the second-ranking student; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çebi presented to Yasin Özkal, the third-ranking student.
The Graduation Ceremony concluded with the throwing of caps, a traditional graduation ritual.
