The tourism sector, due to its practical nature, constitutes a structure from which institutions offering education in this field should benefit extensively. In this regard, the internship practice required from students during their studies provides an opportunity for them to apply the knowledge they acquire at school and to work actively in the sector, helping them gain both work experience and sectoral experience. To ensure that students acquire this experience, internships are compulsory for our school’s students. In order to graduate from the program, students must successfully complete a 30-day internship in workplaces related to their field in accordance with our university’s internship directive.
Requests from tourism enterprises for intern students are announced to students by posting them on the student bulletin boards. After the internship, the internship documents approved by the enterprise must be sent, and once students prepare and submit their internship files to the school, these files are examined by the Internship Commission. When necessary, the student may be interviewed individually; if no deficiency is found, the internship is approved by the commission.
