A trip was conducted with our students to the Bafra Tobacco Museum. During the visit, Museum Supervisor Canberk Uncu and Museum Staff Hülya Ersin provided information about the museum to our students.
This museum, which opened in 2018 and was dedicated to the importance of tobacco—one of Bafra’s most significant agricultural and cultural elements—visually displays the stages that leaf tobacco undergoes in the factory using machines, including baling, moistening, opening, blending, shredding, cigarette rolling, packaging, and wrapping.
In the museum garden, the stages from the planting of tobacco seeds, the transplanting of seedlings into the soil, the harvest/curing process, up to drying are demonstrated practically.
