On April 29, 2026, the conference titled “Nuclear Energy within the Framework of Energy Policies” was successfully organized through the collaboration of the Faculty of Tourism and Bafra Tourism Vocational School with high participation from students and academics.
The event, led by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çağatay TUFAN, Head of the Department of Radiological Sciences at OMÜ, covered topics including Energy Policies, Types of Energy, Electricity Generation, and Nuclear Energy. Prof. Dr. TUFAN highlighted the importance of nuclear energy resources in electricity production and emphasized Türkiye’s strategic position in global energy distribution. He also provided valuable information to students about planned projects in Türkiye and potential future initiatives in this field.
The conference, which attracted great interest from both students and academics, concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session and a certificate of appreciation presented by our Director, Associate Professor Dr. Zuhal Çilingir Ük, to Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çağatay TUFAN.
