
In collaboration with Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Tourism and Bafra Tourism Vocational School, the “Career and Leadership” themed event was held, where Serdal Sefa Kocabaş, President of the Bafra Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met with students. The program, which took place in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Tourism, was attended by numerous students.,
During his speech, Kocabaş shared important information about projects carried out from a regional development perspective and planned investments. He particularly emphasized that the Salmon Festival planned to be held in Yakakent will contribute significantly to regional tourism, stating that such organizations are of great importance for destination promotion.
Kocabaş also drew attention to the need for students to develop themselves not only in the field of tourism but also in different areas. He highlighted the importance of versatile skills in career planning. The event continued with an active question-and-answer session where students participated enthusiastically.
Within the scope of the program, information was provided to students about scholarship opportunities, while the problems and demands faced by students were also discussed. Especially issues related to student dormitories were raised, and mutual evaluations were made on solution proposals.
Additionally, information was shared about the ongoing work and meetings within the scope of the Kapıkaya Festival and the Bafra Sedde Project. It was stated that these projects will contribute to both regional tourism and the local economy. The event concluded as a productive gathering where students gained significant achievements for their career development and had the opportunity to communicate directly with sector representatives.
