Alumni-Student Reunion Held at Bafra Vocational School of Tourism
Muhammed Melik Bayam, a successful alumnus of the Bafra Vocational School of Tourism, met with students at the Alumnus-Student Gathering event held at the school. Bayam, who advanced his education from the associate degree level to a bachelor's degree via the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) and is currently pursuing a master's degree, shared his process of academic and sectoral development with the participants.
Bayam emphasized the importance of the foundation provided by his tourism education in his career path, highlighting that disciplined work, correct mentorship support, and goal setting played a key role in his bachelor's and master's studies. Speaking about his experiences gained in hotel kitchens during his professional life, Bayam elaborated on the importance of the sector's dynamism, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to hear firsthand the experiences of an alumnus professional and directed questions to Bayam about topics they were curious about regarding the sector. It was noted that the gathering was extremely productive in guiding students' career planning and strengthening relationships with alumni.
