Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) underwent a quality audit within the scope of the 2025 renewal process for its “TSE EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System” and “TS ISO 10002:2018 Customer Satisfaction Management System” certificates, which the university has held since 2019.

The audit was conducted by Dr. İsmet Titiz, representative of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) and Head of the OMU Department of Strategy Development, together with Yahya Aysan, member of the OMU Quality Coordination Office. The review covered Bafra Vocational School of Tourism’s quality processes, strategic planning activities, student and stakeholder satisfaction practices, academic–administrative process management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Zuhal Çilingir Ük, Director of Bafra Vocational School of Tourism, and Deputy Directors Lect. Veysel Altuncan and Lect. Yaşar Gültekin. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, joined the audit process and shared his insights regarding the school’s quality culture and ongoing efforts.

During the audit, unit administrators delivered comprehensive presentations on the academic and administrative processes carried out within the school, providing information on the unit’s compliance with quality standards, its strengths, and areas for further improvement. The audit team assessed the school’s alignment with the quality management system based on stakeholder interviews and document reviews.

It was noted that the quality audit strengthened OMU’s quality assurance culture, supported its student-centered approach, and contributed to institutional sustainability. The final report related to the renewal process is expected to be evaluated and submitted to the university by the Turkish Standards Institution.
